What they are for me is an extra day to tweak our house. My mother works for Interface NZ - who are the NZ office of one of the planets largest and most sustainable companies. They produce modular flooring and carpets. My mother was able to sort us out some very awesome and stylish new flooring for our house.
This weekend is going to be spent removing the shoddy, very well used carpets from two of the bedrooms and replacing it with the oh-so-awesome, zero-waste, carbon-neurtal, hot looking new carpets lovingly supplied by Interface.
I’m quite looking forward to it, even though it’s going to be a shit load of hard work. Hard work is not so much of a problem when one’s doing it ro improve one’s awesome house! Yay for home ownerage (is that even a word…?)
Once it’s all down and sorted there will be photos a-plenty. Keep an eye on the ole flickr stream.
my hands hurt. my legs hurt. my butt hurts. my back hurts. and did i mention the BLISTERS from those damn pliers? but yes, you are right. now if only i have the energy to do part 2, we really will have two hot looking rooms.
