…and in other news

Four years, several hundred (maybe even thousand) dollars, a bottle of whiskey, x-rays, early morning queuing, waiting, waiting and more waiting the NZ Immigration Services have finally issued me with a Permanent Residence Permit.

What this means is I can work, live and study in New Zealand. I can come and go as I please. Essentially I can live here forever!

This is the one step closer to becoming a true Kiwi - like the rest of my family!

And now about the shopping trolley - this is state of the art grocery transportation. Not only that but oh-so-hot!

It’s always such a mission dragging our two weeks worth of shopping up to our apartment…now we can simply wheel it into the lift and BOSH! Sorted.

Joy! Joy!

Congrats on the residency. I’ve had to do the 5am line-up outside Immigrations a few times too, to get the same type of permits for my wife (she is German). The last time there we managed to get in early enough to make the front of the line — we thought we had it made until we finally got in the door after a few hours waiting and THEN they tell us that they only take that type of application by mail or drop-off, not in person. Needless to say, we weren’t too chuffed about that…

Oh, and nice trolley. Looks like you could fit a small child in there. Not that I condone shopping for children of course. Just fun rides.

Bloody hell, that trolley looks like something your grandma would use when she goes shopping!
Does it come with a matching walker?

Mike - I’ve seen people in sleeping bags outside the queen st. office. It’s totally insane! I discovered that the Henderson branch is the way to go. No queues, no mental waiting. And the drive there ain’t to bad, either…
Jason - :) Sorry bro! I wish you could have one too! God knows you deserve it!
Dave - Grandma’s wish they had the style to possess I bling trolley of that nature!
Peter - Yeah!! Makes coming and going a lot less of a stress :)
Imogen - Ai, those Europeans know about grocery maneuvering!
