Music Share (the old school way)

Yes, yes I know - it’s been a bit quiet in this corner of the web. Sorry about that; I just cant be arsed writing anything. Work is making me want to top myself. My 7 years of ‘doing websites’ has ended up with me doing HTML3, font tags and fucking tables all over again. (ARGH!!!!!)

So to keep myself from going completely insane I’ve been compiling a new mix tape (a CD actually). Today I finalised the mix and bunt a few copies for test driving. Have a look at the line-up. As you can see I’ve used backpack to keep track of the track-listing. I haven’t really found much use for Backpack as it seems to run really slowly and generally annoys me. This is the first real thing I’ve done with it and it’s worked rather well. The AJAX reordering feature is really useful when it comes to compiling a mix tape.

Anyway, if you like the look of the mix leave a comment with your show of interest and I’ll email you back to get your snail-mail address so I can send you a copy. All I ask in return is that you send me something - anything (nothing organic as NZ customs will freak out).

And in other news, I’ve scanned in a whole bunch of old photos taken with my EOS 300 while I was living in London. They were all taken between 1998 and 2001. One day soon I’m going to buy a DSLR, an EOS 350D. I really miss my SLR. A lot.

I’m keen. Not sure what I can send in return yet, but I’m sure to find something interesting in my ’spare room’ (otherwise known as ‘The Storehouse For All Epherma That My Wife Would Rather I Didn’t Collect’).

I have found the same about Backpack - after excitedly signing up on the first day it was launched I’ve probably used it… ehhh…. twice.

Backpack is a really great idea, I just with there was a local mirror that worked fast. This is probably also a problem with AJAX…there needs to be constant visual feedback imho.

Yikes. I’m so not hip anymore. I don’t know a single one of those bands. Wouldn’t know one of them even if I was to stub my toe on them.

I’ll send ya something if you don’t make me listen to them!
